video VS does not require an account and does not collect personal information. The only content the app works with is:
video VS does not collect, store on our servers, or transmit any of the following: names or accounts, email addresses, location data, health or fitness records, contacts, browsing history, advertising identifiers, or device identifiers. We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs of any kind.
Everything created in video VS stays on your device. Your saved comparisons are stored locally using Apple's on-device database (SwiftData) and consist of:
This data never leaves your device and is not sent to us or any third party. Deleting the app removes all of this data.
video VS asks for permission to access your photo library so you can select videos to compare. Access is used solely for this purpose. If a selected video lives in iCloud, the app uses Apple's Photos framework to download your own video to your device so it can be displayed — this communication is between your device and your iCloud account; it does not pass through our servers.
video VS does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or attribution services. The only platform services involved are Apple's own (your device, your photo library, and your iCloud), which you already control through your Apple account and iOS settings.
video VS is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/EEA, or 14 in mainland China). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app collects no personal data, no such data is gathered from any user.
Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA, California, and mainland China), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. Because video VS stores all data locally on your device and we hold none of it, you can exercise these rights directly: delete a comparison within the app, or delete the app to remove all associated data. Your data stays on your device under the protection of iOS. Any communication with iCloud uses Apple's encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections. We implement reasonable technical measures appropriate to an app that stores no data on external servers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" above reflects the latest version. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
